HALF WAS NOT TOLD
HALF WAS NOT TOLD
However I did not believe the words until I came and saw with my own eyes; and indeed the half was not told me. Your wisdom and prosperity exceed the fame of which I heard (1 Kings 10:7).
Bible speaks about a king who was filled with the supreme wisdom. Solomon, son of King David when was ordained as the king, he asked God to fill him with wisdom and God has filled him with such a wisdom that we can find the same in no one (1 Kings 3:9, 12 & 4:29-31). And the men from all nations came to listen to him and kings were sending men to hear the wisdom of Solomon (1 Kings 4:34). When the queen of Sheba heard about Solomon and came to listen to him, she has testified that whatever she had heard about Solomon was not even equal to half of what she has seen.
When Jesus was in this world, Jesus said “One greater than Solomon is here” (Matthew 12:42). Bible speaks about Jesus and we should trust in what we hear about him. Jesus said, Trust in God and trust also in me for he is trust worthy (John 14:1), and those who have not seen and yet believe in him is blessed (John 20:29). Jesus is the fulfillment of the Scriptures that Moses and the Prophets spoke about. We should have trust in Jesus for he is the same God forever (Hebrews 13:8). Today whatever we know about Jesus Christ it is not even half of what Jesus has done. Apostle John says that if everything that Jesus has done were written down, the whole world would not have enough room for the books that would be written (John 21:25).
Knowing just a part about Jesus gives us the eternal life, we do not need to know everything what Jesus has done, but we just need to know a part of the life of Jesus which gives us the new life. Let us ask God to understand the scriptures to know about Jesus and get the promised new life.
