Amidst all Complications - My baby and My Wife saved

Esther Deborah

We praise God for giving us a healthy baby girl, Esther Deborah on March 17.

The Lord did a special miracle for us.

The baby was conceived even though an IUD was used. This device of course, is known to be more than 99% effective in preventing pregnancies.

The Lord definitely wanted us to have this baby as a precious gift to us, especially because of the circumstances.

He caused the IUD to be safely removed and made the pregnancy healthy and normal (baby was born safely, full-term) and not dangerously ectopic. When even a renowned doctor told us that the baby may not be well formed or may abort naturally, the Lord heard our cries and blessed us.

During the delivery, the mother was actually unable to exert any energy in the final stages of the birthing process due to extreme weakness for many weeks.

She (the mother) had slept an average of 3-4 hours literally for many days prior to undergoing labor. When it was impossible for her, the Lord made it possible.

Also, the baby had her arm in front of her head and the doctor said she may have to do a C-section.

As we had prayed, she managed to get the arm back behind her head and delivered the baby.

Our prayers had been answered by an Almighty God, Who is an ever present help in time of trouble and this was the third natural delivery for the mother, even as we petitioned God.

We asked the Lord for ability for the mother to refuse various pain killing and numbing drugs like an Epidural and Demerol. These are known to be dangerous. Especially the Epidural (which is injected in the spine area) can cause permanent paralysis and other complications, including death.

Many cases are reported as proof.

The Lord even answered that prayer. Praise be to God for His wonderful and timely help!

There are quite a few other things for which we have praised God for but we have written these, “that you may believe” in the Lord Jesus and His great Loving provision for us and His Power to do all things well.

Indeed, time and time again when there was no hope at all for us, He has done all things well for us, his servants.

We named the baby Esther Deborah by the way, because those two characters in the Old Testament were used mightily by God and they were obedient to Him. Esther risked her life to save her people while trusting God for deliverance. She obeyed the Lord’s command to love to the point of laying down one’s life for others.

She was courageous and full of faith and also humble, though God had made her queen in the presence of her enemies.  She was victorious in faith. What’s more, many of the heathen became believers because of her witness.

We gave her the middle name of Deborah because she was a Judge of Israel at a certain point in time and was also a prophetess that was brave indeed.

When no man had the courage to fight their enemies, she went boldly and got the victory while inspiring others to trust in the Living God.

We trust God to make our daughter grow up to be just like Esther and Deborah, handmaidens of the Lord.

We all should continue to trust God above, the so-called, “experts” always, expecting in faith for miracles in the Name of Jesus which is far above any name (that is to say, anyone) and do His Will.

He is a miracle-working God. Glory be to Jesus, our Lord and our God!

Not Home Yet!

An old missionary couple had been working in Africa for years and were returning to New York to retire. They had no pension; their health was broken; they were defeated, discouraged, and afraid. No one paid any attention to them.

They discovered they were booked on the same ship as President Teddy Roosevelt, who was returning from one of his big-game hunting expeditions. They watched the fanfare that accompanied the President's entourage, with passengers trying to catch a glimpse of the great man.

As the ship moved across the ocean, the old missionary said to his wife, "Something is wrong. Why should we have given our lives in faithful service for God in Africa all these many years and have no one care a thing about us?  Here this man comes back from a hunting trip and everybody makes much over him, but nobody gives two hoots about us."

"Dear, you shouldn't feel that way", his wife said.

He replied, "I can't help it; it doesn't seem right."

When the ship docked in New York, a band was waiting to greet the President. The mayor and other dignitaries were there. The papers were full of the President's arrival. No one noticed missionary couple.

They slipped off the ship and found a cheap flat on the East Side, hoping the next day to see what they could do to make a living in the city.

That night the man's spirit broke. He said to his wife, "I can't take this; God is not treating us fairly."

His wife replied, "Why don't you go in the bedroom and tell that to the Lord?"

A short time later he came out from the bedroom, but now his face was completely different. His wife asked, "Dear, what happened?"

"The Lord settled it with me," he said.  "I told Him how bitter I was that the President should receive this tremendous homecoming, when no one met us as we returned home. When I finished, it seemed as though the Lord put His hand on my shoulder and simply said; 'But you're not home yet.'

Give a blank paper

  • We expect God to act according to our will not according to His will.
  • We expect God to mix His plan with our plans.
  • We expect God to continue certain tasks we have started with our aim/ambition
Many times it doesn't happen one may feel stuck. Because God knows, such mix up of continuation of a wrong start may lead to disaster. So God remain there, waiting for us to change our attitude.

God has unique plans for all of us which are similar to our finger print, eyeris, our appearance and character. No replications in God's plan.

Once a preacher said less than 1% of Christians seek to know from God. Even within the 1% seeking population few take the right approach. What is it?

Our pre conceived ideas and thoughts are the stumbling block for God to act on our life. Our delay in understanding God's plan is the only reason for the delay in God acting in our life.

Genesis 32 we read about Jacob's encounter with God. Jacob all through his life tried every possible way to succeed in his life. Remember Jacob is indeed a very hard working person. He delayed in allowing God to act according to His will.

God meets Jacob in between his preparation to meet his brother Esau and the actual meeting. Jacob was willing give-up everything unconditionally including all his hard-work, wealth in order to reconcile.Jacob's life changes there!!

Once I used to be a computer programmer, one of the difficult things is to correct the code written by someone. Once we had a unique situation while programming medical insurance software. One programmer said with prudence, "instead of correcting it is easy to rewrite the program".

I compare the life of a person in relating to our Master Programmer. I imagine our life is been written on a sheet of paper. We initiate and write many things as per our whims and fancies. Then we ask God to continue from there. God may not write anything there because what you have started may not be the plan of God at all. He is the Alpha and Omega (Revelation 22:13 I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End). If He starts then the end will be perfect; if not!!.....???

It is better rub off everything and give a clean sheet so that He will re-write our life completely according to His perfect will.

Rub what is written on our mind and on the sheet, give it to God, He will write a perfect plan for our life!

Give a blank paper to Him!

Amen

The Martyrdom of Perpetua

"It will all happen in the prisoner's dock as God wills, for you may be sure that we are not left to ourselves but are all in His power."

We have little idea what brought Perpetua to faith in Christ, or how long she had been a Christian, or how she lived her Christian life. Thanks to her diary, and that of another prisoner, we have some idea of her last days—an ordeal that so impressed the famous Augustine that he preached four sermons about her death.

Perpetua was a Christian noblewoman who, at the turn of the third century, lived with her husband, her son, and her slave, Felicitas, in Carthage (in modern Tunis).

At this time, North Africa was the centre of a vibrant Christian community. It is no surprise, then, that when Emperor Septimius Severus determined to cripple Christianity (he believed it undermined Roman patriotism), he focused his attention on North Africa.

Among the first to be arrested were five new Christians taking classes to prepare for baptism, one of whom was Perpetua.

Her father immediately came to her in prison. He was a pagan, and he saw an easy way for Perpetua to save herself. He entreated her simply to deny she was a Christian.

"Father do you see this vase here?" she replied.  "Could it be called by any other name than what it is?"

"No," he replied.

"Well, neither can I be called anything other than what I am, a Christian."

In the next days, Perpetua was moved to a better part of the prison and allowed to breast-feed her child. With her hearing approaching, her father visited again, this time, pleading more passionately:

"Have pity on my gray head. Have pity on me, your father, if I deserve to be called your father, if I have favoured you above all your brothers, if I have raised you to reach this prime of your life."

He threw himself down before her and kissed her hands.

"Do not abandon me to be the reproach of men. Think of your brothers; think of your mother and your aunt; think of your child, who will not be able to live once you are gone. Give up your pride!"

Perpetua was touched but remained unshaken.

She tried to comfort her father—"It will all happen in the prisoner's dock as God wills, for you may be sure that we are not left to ourselves but are all in his power"—but he walked out of the prison dejected.

The day of the hearing arrived, Perpetua and her friends were marched before the governor, Hilarianus. Perpetua ‘s friends were questioned first, and each in turn admitted to being a Christian, and each in turn refused to make a sacrifice (an act of emperor worship).

Then the governor turned to question Perpetua.

At that moment, her father, carrying Perpetua ‘s son in his arms, burst into the room.

He grabbed Perpetua and pleaded, "Perform the sacrifice. Have pity on your baby!"

Hilarianus, probably wishing to avoid the unpleasantness of executing a mother who still suckled a child, added, "Have pity on your father's gray head; have pity on your infant son. Offer the sacrifice for the welfare of the emperor."

Perpetua replied simply: "I will not."

"Are you a Christian then?" asked the governor.

"Yes I am," Perpetua replied.

Her father interrupted again, begging her to sacrifice, but Hilarianus had heard enough: he ordered soldiers to beat him into silence.

He then condemned Perpetua and her friends to die in the arena.

Perpetua, her friends, and her slave, Felicitas (who had subsequently been arrested), were dressed in belted tunics. When they entered the stadium, wild beasts and gladiators roamed the arena floor, and in the stands, crowds roared to see blood.

They didn't have to wait long. Immediately a wild heifer charged the group.

Perpetua was tossed into the air and onto her back. She sat up, adjusted her ripped tunic, and walked over to help Felicitas.

Then a leopard was let loose, and it wasn't long before the tunics of the Christians were stained with blood.

This was too deliberate for the impatient crowd, which began calling for death for the Christians. So Perpetua, Felicitas, and friends were lined up, and one by one, were slain by the sword.

God has a lot to say about finances

“And Abram was very rich in cattle, in silver, and in gold." Gen. 13:2

"He listened to, and obeyed God." Gen. 12:1-4

"He honored God, who prospered him." Gen. 12:7

"He was generous, and avoided strife." Gen. 13:5-9

"He was compassionate toward others." Gen. 18:24-33

Solomon understood the principals of prosperity. He was one of the richest men who ever lived. His proverbs reveal many truths regarding finances.

"Honor the Lord with thy substance, and with the first fruits of all thine increase: so thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst forth with new wine." Proverbs 3:9-10

"He who gives to the poor will not want, but he who hides his eyes [from their want] will have many a curse." Proverbs 28:27 AMP

But in order to have true riches, the motive of your heart must be pure, to bless others and establish God's covenant.

"And beware lest you say in your [mind and] heart, my power and the might of my hand have gotten me this wealth. But you shall earnestly remember the Lord your God, for it is He Who gives you power to get wealth that He may establish His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is this day." Deuteronomy 8:17-18 AMP

God does indeed want to be involved in our finances. Most Christians who are defeated in their finances are defeated because they believe and confess the words of the enemy, and those words hold them in bondage. What we believe and speak affects the natural world, including our finances. God has given us His Word so that we can understand these spiritual laws. When you work with these laws, they work for you. When you work against God's spiritual laws, they work against you.

When you speak negatively about your financial situation, you have what you say and believe. Here is a very important spiritual law: You can have what you say. With your words you can choose life or death, poverty or riches, sickness or health. You may tithe 10%, work hard, and pray for prosperity every day, but if your words are negative and contrary to God's Word, you could stay in debt, struggling to make ends meet.

Words are powerful, but God's Word is full of creative power. When you agree with what God has said about you, speaking His Word, your circumstances will begin to change and line up with His Will for your life.

As I give, it is given unto me, good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over. Luke 6:38.

My God makes all grace abound toward me in every favor and earthly blessing, so that I have all sufficiency for all things and I abound to every good work. 2 Corinthians 9:8.

I am blessed in the city, blessed in the field, blessed coming in, and blessed going out, my laying down, my rising up. I am blessed in the basket and blessed in my bank accounts, investments, health, and relationships; they flourish. The blessings of the Lord overtake me in all areas of my life and I receive them. Deut 28:1-14.

I am like a tree planted by rivers of water. I bring forth fruit in my season, my leaf shall not wither, and whatever I do will prosper. Psalms 1:3.

The blessings of the Lord makes truly rich, and He adds no sorrow with it. Proverbs 10:22

The Lord has opened unto me His good treasure and blessed the work of my hands. He has commanded the blessing upon me in my storehouse and all that I undertake. Deuteronomy 28:8 and 12.

God delights in my prosperity. He gives me power to get wealth that He may establish His covenant upon the earth. Deuteronomy 8:18, 11:12

God has given me all things that pertain to life and godliness, and I am well able to possess all that God has provided for me. Numbers 13:30, 2 Peter 1:3-4.

I delight myself in the Lord, and He gives me the desires of my heart. Psalms 37:4.

The Lord rebukes the devourer for my sake, and no weapon that is formed against me will prosper. All obstacles and hindrances to my prosperity are now dissolved. Malachi 3:10-11; Isaiah 54:17.

The Lord is my shepherd, and I do not want. Jesus came that I might have life and have it more abundantly. Psalms 23:1; John 10:10

... You Are Different...

Hello :)
Praise To be God Alone :)

You are not the shy little Person sitting in the corner with no one to play with.
You are bold in Christ, and You have what everyone else wants.
You are not the fat, ugly Person that U once saw in the mirror.
You are fearfully and wonderfully made, beautiful on the inside and out.

You are not the unloved child waiting in the crib to be fed and paid attention to.
You are loved and lovable, and God is always paying attention to Your needs.

You are not the second unwanted Poor child
You are wanted. God knew You before U was even conceived in Ur mother’s womb. He knew Your name and had a plan for You.

You are not the lost Person without a purpose.
You are found in Christ. U have hope for Ur future and an unbreakable joy to live Ur life for God.

You are not the Person who has to be perfect at everything.
You are the Person who can accept Their mistakes because U are perfected through the image of Christ.

U are not the Person who can not trust anybody.
You trusted God and U can rest in Him. He protects You and heals You from anything man does that may hurt You.

You are special Coz yu Know Christ :) :)

The idea of being born again means that we should be transformed day by day into the image of Christ...

No one is just like you. God made you special. There’s only one YOU!
No one looks like you or talks like you
or thinks like you do. Look at
your hands. No one else has
fingerprints like yours. God
designed a fresh set for each person. He
had a different pattern for each person.
Even if people tell you that you look like
your mother or uncle, you are the only
one God made like you. He even planned
how you would look.He made you special because He loves
you. He also made you so that you
could know and love Him back. The
Bible tells us that God cares about each
bird in the sky (Matthew 10:29). Don’t
you think that God is more interested
in you? God knows every thing about
us. He knows the good things that we
do and the bad things that we don’t
want anyone to know about. The Bible
says that we all have done Sins and that we all deserve to be
punished (Romans 6:23). You and I
are so important to God that He sent
His very own Son, Jesus, to take our Punishment.

Here i Just want to say We all are Special in our Own way n God created Us like that
if Some One say that you not worthy not Good we so easily trust them n Ignore What bible teach us !
So next time Something Like dis happen you can reply with a Smile
"God Have all wisdom,
Who knows us all by name,
He didn't want us to be bored,
That's why we're not the same."

Lastly With Lots of Love,
No one has your eyes, your nose, your hair, your hands, your voice, your smile. You're special!

No one anywhere has exactly your handwriting, exactly your finger-prints, exactly your tastes in food or music or TV. Since the beginning of time, there's been no one who laughs like you, no one who cries like you, no one who sees things just the way you do. You're special.

Look, you're the only one on this planet who's got your set of abilities. Sure there'll always be someone who's better at some of the things you're good at—but no one in the entire universe has your unique combination of talents and skills, dreams and feelings.

No one else through all eternity will ever look, talk, walk, think or do the way you do. You're special. You're rare. And like anything that's rare, you're valuable.

That's why you don't need to copy your friends. You can accept—yeah, you can celebrate—your differences! You can risk being yourself.

Hey, you're no ACCIDENT. God made you special for a very special purpose. He's got a job for you that no one else can do as well. Out of all the billions of applicants, only one is qualified. Only one has what it takes.

That one is YOU...because you're special!

God Made you Very Original Don't die as a COPY !!

Choices Are always in Ur Hands !
But Defiantly Ur Today's Choices Will Determine Ur Future :)

So Make The Best Choice Ever !!
Be Proud That God Loves You So Much !!
And You are Different !!

Keep Praising God In ur Own Different Way !!
Let Angel's Be Around ya !!

'...you will lift up your face without shame...' Job 11:15

Many of the world's most successful people were at one time considered to be failures.

A banker in Iowa laughed and told Alexander Graham Bell to remove that 'toy' from his office. The toy he referred to was the telephone. Talk about missing an investment opportunity!

A movie producer once scrawled 'reject' on the screenplay of Gone with the Windhttp://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/6/6b/Gone_with_the_Wind_cover.jpg

In 1906, the man who was Henry Ford's greatest investor asked that his stock be sold because he didn't believe the company would go anywhere.

Imagine living with that memory!

Mr Roebuck sold his part of the Sears and Roebuck Company for $25,000 because he said it would 'never fly' But it did, and in its heyday it was selling $4,000 worth of goods every second.

Understand this:

You have everything every winner in history had - plus God. The God of the Red Sea, the lion's den and the walls of Jericho is your God!

So get your eyes out of the rear-view mirror and start looking ahead. Celebrate the fact that you survived.

The devil may have tried to destroy you, but the good news is that he failed.

In spite of all you've been through you're a walking, talking, living, breathing miracle of God's grace.  He must have kept you around for a reason, so find out what it is and pour your life into it.

You say, 'I've got more troubles than Job.'

Maybe, but Job trusted God and came out on top!

His book reads, 'If you devote your heart to [God]...you will lift up your face without shame; you will stand firm and without fear.'

There's a Way Out

'...when you are tempted... [there's]... a way out...' 1 Corinthians 10:13

Often we make excuses for our weaknesses, or blame others.

The poet wrote,

'An enemy I strove to know, he dogged my steps where'er I'd go. My plans he baulked and blocked my way, to lofty goals he answered "Nay!"' Till I from him the veil did draw, I looked and lo - myself I saw.'

When John Wesley's students met each week they would ask each other these four questions:

http://t2.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcTsH6W5UHLbtrd_4n86oHMLflywVdqOdlqlivdViRyKUhZRCAprp4KRhPIO

 1) What sins have you committed since we last met?

2) What temptations have you faced?

 3) How were you delivered?

4) What have you thought, said or done, of which you are uncertain whether it is sin or not?

Those four questions will keep you spiritually alert, and on track.

 Paul writes,

'When you are tempted, [God] will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it.'

In her essay A Way Out, Portia Nelson writes,

http://thespiritualbloke.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/01/pothole-250x150.jpg

'I walk down the street. There's a hole in the pavement and I fall in. I'm lost; it isn't my fault. It takes me forever to get out. I walk down the street again.
There's a hole in the pavement but I pretend I don't see it, so I fall in again.
I can't believe I'm in the same place; still, it isn't my fault.

I walk down the street again. There's a hole in the pavement. I see it, but I still fall in - it's a habit.
But now my eyes are open and I know where I am. It is my fault.
I get out immediately. I walk down the street. There's a hole in the pavement.
 I walk around it.

Finally, I walk down a different street!'

David's Dark Secret---- Do you want to come out of porn addiction....

David's Dark Secret

 http://t0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcSP0Yj76EfcHS6DNjqc_QDW3Y5kTH6hGLszpdTsrbJSb_1VrPIM4yWtADXr

On the outside, David Jones seemed to have it all together. He was a loving husband, father and a church leader.

“I remember telling Valerie one day, ‘I think, I’m supposed to be a minister,’” remembers David.

“She, of course, thought I was crazy.  But just those old feelings of that call of God that I believe He had a call on my life, that He had something for me to do. So we started being more active in our church volunteering for VBS, volunteering with the youth.”

But below the surface, David was hiding an addiction to pornography.

It started in his childhood, when his friend showed him a magazine.

“We were just hanging out at his house and he said, ‘hey, guess what I’ve got?’” David remembers.

“He brought me into the garage and, you know, brought it out. Those first images, they sparked something within me that interested me and I wanted to see more.”

David grew up going to church, so he knew looking at pornography was wrong.  So he hid his secret.

“I tried to put on this, you know, that good Christian face and go to church and play the part,” says David.

“I knew if people found out, they would see me differently.”

When he was 17, David met Valerie. They later married and started a family. He was devoted to his wife but pornography had warped his view of sex and women.

“God intended it to be a mutually pleasing, a mutually beautiful experience for a husband and wife, something that draws you closer in intimacy,” says David. “And honestly, that’s not the way I thought of sex. I treated her, well, more like an object than-than a spouse, than a friend and a lover.”

David spent hours on the computer watching X-rated videos.

Each time he felt guilty and confessed his obsession with porn to Valerie, but it made her feel that she wasn’t good enough for him.

Valerie remembers,

“I started internalizing it thinking, ‘okay, if I did what some of those women do on the tapes, if I look like that, then maybe he wouldn’t look.’  So I started making it about me, you know, there’s something wrong with me or he wouldn’t be looking.”

For ten years, the cycle continued, viewing porn, then confessing to his wife and promising to stop.

But nothing ever changed and eventually she stopped trusting him.

Valerie recalls,

“It just got to where it just knocked me flat on my face and it was like, I’m back on my knees and I’m praying, ‘God, what do you want me to do?  How-how much am I supposed to take?’”

“I knew that I was hurting her and I knew I was offending God and yet I just didn’t know what to do,” says David.

“I didn’t want to do this stuff, but yet there was something inside of me that just, that craved it and desired it and I would give in time after time.”

David lived in a sexual fantasy world. It was only a matter of time before his addiction destroyed his marriage.

“I never had an affair but, you know, honestly I was cheating, by the imagery and by the self-pleasure,” recalls David. “I was cheating. It drove a wedge between us and our intimacy suffered, our relationship suffered, and it started to really take its toll. It was really destroying us.”

David felt God wanted him to become a minister, but the porn had control over him.

http://drugsno2.narcononofgeorgi.netdna-cdn.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/Handcuffs.jpg

“Here I am surrendering to the ministry and trying to deal with all this at the same time and that whole time God is dealing with me,” says David.

“God made Himself just so present to me there was a stench, there was a smell that I hadn’t smelled before. God spoke to my heart and he said, ‘David, this is what this stuff smells like to me, this is a stench to my nose, it’s disgusting.  And if you’re going to be a minister, we’re going to have to deal with this.’ At that point I knew I had to stop. I turned off the computer. I walked away from it. It was God’s breaking point for me, I think.  He led me to this place to finally say, ‘it’s time.’”

David repented to God for his sin, but he also knew he had to talk to Valerie.

“It was hard to admit uh that I’d been lying to her,” says David.

“It was hard to admit that I’d been covering some stuff up. It was hard to see her cry and it was hard to-to know it was my fault.”

http://t0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcSP0Yj76EfcHS6DNjqc_QDW3Y5kTH6hGLszpdTsrbJSb_1VrPIM4yWtADXr

Part of me wanted to leave,” remembers Valerie. “But my heart wouldn’t let me.

I felt like God was saying, ‘there’s hope.’”

David also got the help he needed to deal with his problem.  In time, he shared about his struggles with his church.

“I didn’t know what was going to happen once I confessed to the church some of the things I’d done,” says David. “But it was incredible the response.  People coming up and hugging our necks and loving us and actually telling us ‘thank you,’ that they had dealt with it or a friend had dealt with it or they’re going through it right now.”

That’s when God began to heal their marriage.

“When you’re able to finally forgive that person and start not focusing on yourself but focusing on them and actually trying to help them and love on them, it’s just amazing,” says Valerie.

“She looks at me with love, and I know she just loves me despite what I’ve done and despite our past,” says David. “It just makes me love her more and it makes me want to treat her even better than ever before and to just put her up on a pedestal, you know, and say, ‘that’s my wife.’”

Today, David warns others, knowing how easy it is to fall into the grip of a porn addiction.

“The first thing I would say is you’ve got to admit it,” believes David. “You’ve got to face it.  You’ve got to confess it to God and to someone, to a wife, to a friend, to a pastor. I’m not going to lie and tell people that I’m not tempted, but what I’m going to say is,

‘God’s given me the strength, He’s given me the knowledge, He’s given me the help that I can make better choices, and I can resist.’”

“I don’t deserve His love, I don’t deserve heaven, I don’t deserve eternal life,” says David.

“And yet God says, ‘I forgive you’ and He washes that all away.

And He says, ‘come unto me, be a part of me.’ And it just, it just floors me.”
