But He answered them, “My Father is working until now, and I Myself am working. (John 5:17) (NASB).
In our life whenever we are going through few situations that are unexpected, we wants to remember the promises of God. And we start remembering the promise of God, the very first we get into our mind is God said “I never leave you”, Yes, that is true and we want an instant answer from The LORD for our problem, when it is getting late in God answering our prayers, the next question comes in our mind is “What God is doing?”. Is God sleeping? Is God taking rest? Or Is God busy with some other tasks? So that He is not answering us.
Bible says, God is working until now. From the beginning, God has been working. He is working for you and me. God called us His children and He is working for us. The same thing Jesus was doing when he is in the world. We can see how Jesus was working restlessly. Once on a Sabbath day Jesus went to the synagogue and began to teach the people (Luke 4:31-32). He started his day with teaching to the people, while he was teaching there was a demoniac in the synagogue. Jesus delivered that man from the demon (Luke 4:33-35). After this Jesus left the Synagogue, they went to Peter’s house, there he healed Peter’s Mother-in-Law as she was having fever (Mark 1:29-31), after healing her, while the sun is setting down, people who ever heard about Jesus has delivered a demoniac, started bringing all the demon possessed in the town to Peter’s house and Jesus delivered all of them from the demons, and people started bringing the people who are sick by hearing Jesus has healed a woman who has a great fever and Jesus healed all of them (Matthew 8:16). Luke said, Jesus was laying his hands on each one who came (Luke 4:40). Jesus was not speaking putting them in group, but it is individual touching.
This is how God is working until now. Prophet Elijah said about the gods, they might be in deep thought, or busy, or travelling, maybe they are sleeping or needs to be awakened (1 Kings 18:27). But our GOD is a God who never sleeps nor slumbers (Psalm 121:4). If you feel God is not answering your prayers, know that He is working in your life. He is shaping the situations in favor of you. It is not that God has neglected us; it is not that God is not hearing our prayers. King David said, “Wait for The LORD and keep His way; He will exalt you to inherit the land (Psalm 37:34). God is working to exalt you so that you will inherit the land that He is giving you.
            GOD BLESS YOU
