Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted. (Matthew 5:4).
When we read Bible, the first days of Jesus Christ’s three and a half years of ministry we see many teachings of Jesus with authority. Jesus was a teacher with the authority over the creation, for by him all things were created (Colossians 1:16).  Jesus was teaching the people on the mountain side, saying many things. Among them Jesus said, those who mourn now they shall be comforted in the life to come. From the physical point of view, the mourning is a painful situation in our life, but in the Spiritual point of view, mourning is a source of receiving blessings of God. It is sure that we will mourn as we live in this world for it is foretold by Jesus (John 16:20). But the assurance from God is that we will be surely comforted. How this comfort will be?
God comforts the people through the Word of God for He is known as the God of comfort (2 Corinthians 1:3); through this comfort God is making us to comfort others when they go through the troubles. When we go through a kind of trouble that means that God sees us as we are capable of going through them, for we can comfort the week people in the days to come. Prophet Isaiah says, The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord always help us to comfort those who mourn (Isaiah 61:2). God Himself is promising that “I, even I, am he who comforts you” (Isaiah 51:12). When we are downcast, God is assuring us His greatest comfort (2 Corinthians 7:6).
When Job was going through troubles, no one was there with him to comfort him. Job almost has lost his hope by seeing the people dispersing from his life, but at a point of time Job declared his hope by saying “I know my Redeemer lives” (Job 19:25). This hope that Job had in God comforted him more than a million friends can comfort, and finally he was blessed with greatest blessings in his life. When we are filled with grief, we need to put our hope in The LORD so that we can be comforted and receive the blessings from God. No person can comfort us as The Lord comforts. The Word of God is the only source to receive the comfort from God.
            GOD BLESS YOU
