BE A GOOD PRACTITIONER

So everyone who hears these words of Mine and acts upon them [obeying them] will be like a sensible (prudent, practical, wise) man who built his house upon the rock (Matthew 7:24) (AMP).
While living in this world we hear many saying about the importance of reading the Word of God and following it. But most of the times we do the first part and neglect the second part as we do not want to apply the word of God to our life because there are many restrictions living in the Word . James says, we hear the word it is good, but if we fail to put the word into practice, there is no meaning of hearing the Word of God (James 1:22). It is true that hearing the message improves our faith in God, but practicing what it says will give greater value to our life. Whatever we do about the scripture, reading, hearing, researching the scriptures, preaching about the scriptures, all of these considered useless if we fail to be the doers of what the Word says.
Jesus Christ when living in this world, He gave a parable to the disciples. He compared practicing the Word as the building of a house. We all want to have a house that is strong enough so that when the rain comes, when the streams rose against it, when the winds blew on it the house should not be shaken. Likewise, the one who builds his life on the Word of God will be strong enough. When the troubles come into their life, they will not be shaken. They will stay stronger in the midst of all the troubles they face. Jesus said about this as building the house on the rock (Matthew 7:24-25). Who is this rock again? Jesus is the rock that is rejected by the world. Apostle Peter calls us as the living stones (2 Peter 2:5-8). We should build our house on the rock of Jesus, in other way the Word of God.
The important benefit of putting the Word into practice is we can speak back to the enemy by using the Word of God, and then it will run away from us. This is what Jesus has done when he was tempted (Matthew 4:1-11). Many of us are waiting to receive the blessings of God. We go to the Church regularly, we hear the message, we read the word and we attend great gospel meetings of great servants of God, yet the question is that we do not see the blessings of God in our life. We try to search the reason for this. The only reason Jesus says is, we do not put the word of God into practice. Jesus said to His disciples, that they know all the things that Jesus was teaching them, but to receive the blessings of God they need to put these things into practice (John 13:17). This is applicable to us as well; to be rich in this world we must be rich in the Word. Let us all ask God to help us to do the things what the Word of God says, He will surely help us and make us rich in His Word.
            GOD BLESS YOU
